This Ingredient sure does pack a punch! Renowned for its health benefits, Shea Butter has been around for thousands of years. One of the unique differences from another cosmetic ingredient, is that it actually encourages your skin to absorb moisture from the air, ensuring that your skin becomes softer and stays moisturised for longer.
Shea Butter comes from the Karite tree. This tree grows in the Savannah regions of West Africa from Senegal in the west to Sudan in the east, and onto the foothills of the Ethiopian highlands.
Our fair trade raw organic Shea Butter naturally contains vitamin A and E. Vitamin A is important for improving a number of skins conditions, including, blemishes, wrinkles, eczema and dermatitis. Vitamin E is a common anti-ageing ingredient that protects your skin.
We use fair trade, raw, organic shea butter which is 100% unrefined, as raw, natural and as beautiful as you can get it. It retains all its natural content (vitamins A, E, F, minerals, proteins and a fatty acid profile) to ensure that it is suitable for a variety of skin types and that it will help your skin retain its brilliance and elasticity.
We have sourced our ingredients using ethical, sustainable and fair-trade suppliers. We buy our certified fair-trade organic Shea Butter from a cooperative multipurpose society, which is a non-government organisation established to help members of the village of Pusu-Namogo in Ghana, particularly the more vulnerable women, children and elderly, to rise out of poverty. The cooperative was created as a sustainable venture by a company that plays a critical commercial role in building and maintaining import and export trade between Ghana and the international markets.
Our entire range is anhydrous (containing no water) none of our products have been diluted in tern providing a high concentration of vitamins, omegas and minerals, all of which are 99% organic, certified vegan and cruelty free.
